The Barony of Darkwood welcomes one and all to the beautiful shores of Monterey Bay for this year's June Crown. The site is the Fort Ord Travel camp, with its green rolling hills and trees for shade camping. The water on site IS potable (they finally found and fixed the problem). As the site is a Federal reservation, all dogs must be leashed to something or someone. Also, there are no firearms allowed on site.
Their Majesties invite you all to bring your tables and food to ring the Eric on Saturday night and view the festivities by torchlight. Planned activities include a presentation of music, dance and poetry (during dinner), followed by Medieval Court Dancing by torchlight, then Middle Eastern Music and Dancing till dawn. Please join us on the West Kingdom "Village Green,"
Sunday morning meeting schedule: 9 am Pelicans; 10 am Laurels; 11 am Knights. A Ladies of tlie Rose meeting will take place after the close of the Knights meeting; followed by a Go to Pennsic meeting. It is Their Majesties' wish for a Tournament of Roses for all fighters on Sunday during the Peerage meetings.
Merchants: The standard charge of $1 per frontage foot will be charged and all merchants will he required to have proof of a California state resellers permit. It is requested that Merchants preregister their intention to attend and please provide amount of square footage needed so we can ensure adequate room for all. Arts & Sciences: The Needleworkers Guild will host the A&S Pavilion for June Crown, Please see details P. 8.
