In celebration of our Baroness and the dawning of a new year, a festive day of sport, fighting, gaming and feasting is planned. What better way to honor our Baroness than with the ideals of chivalry and courtiy love? All people of these fine lands are most cordially invited to join the festivities. All Eskalyans, near and far, and all friends of Eskalya from the Known World will find themselves welcome.
A tournament for Baroness' champion will be held. Music and gaiety and friendly games of intellect shall call to those not otherwise occupied. The Court of Love shall include contests of poetry and the more genteel arts:
Best song, poem, etc. honoring our baroness.
Best ode to consort
Most chivalric act on the field
Hearts in any mode
Hand kissing - judged by Her Excellency (to be done with decorum)
Quick the Bard
After a day of festivities, a fine feast will be served to all in attendance. (Please bring your table service, mugs/goblets, and bowls.) The feast will be plated. Please RSVP so we may have conrect count for feast. All those with food concerns please contact the Kitchen Steward.
