The Thirty-fifth Year

Arts and Sciences -- Darkwood

September 9-10, 2000 (AS XXXV)

Ford Ord,
Monterey, CA

From The Page (August, 2000):

Come let the folks of Darkwood teach you a thing or two! We still need teachers and classes (contact the autocrat!) but so far there will be opportunities to learn about many things—lucets, juggling, fighting, brewing, cooking, sex... Bring your own chairs and note-taking items. If you can lend us the use of a sunshade for the day or the weekend, please contact the Autocrat, who will be eternally grateful.

Site opens Friday at noon. Four class periods will be scheduled for Saturday; and to make sure people actually attend first class, it won't start until 10am. There should be a water buffalo on site; but bring potable water just in case. Campers, watch for poison oak.

Join us on the eric Saturday evening for the traditional Umpteenth Annual Last Baronial Potluck. Mundane birthdays Jan.-Apr, bring main dishes; May-July bring side dishes, Aug.-Oct bring vegetables or salads and Nov,-Dec, bring desserts. In keeping with SCA tradition, each person attending should contribute a dish of eight servings.

On Sunday, break out your light-fighter gear and join Crosston in its Light Fighter War!

Autocrat: Mathew Blackmane (contact info omitted).

Site fee: $4.

Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
