From The Page (September, 2000):
The time has come to prepare for Fall Collegium! Spend the weekend in gentle (and notso- gentle) pursuit of knowledge! Fall Collegium offers an exciting array of classes, exhibits, food and dancing. The site will open at 9 a.m. both days for check-in & registration for limited attendance classes. Classes are an hour and twenty minutes each, and start at 9:30 a.m. The site closes Sunday at 5 p.m.
Classes are still being added. If you are interested in teaching, please contact Juan at (email) or Rose at (email) or call us at (phone).
Exhibits! There will be plenty of space available to set up displays. Finished works and works-in-progress are equally welcome. Don't have anything to display? Come and see what everybody else is doing! Better yet, let them know how much you appreciate their efforts. Notepads will be provided; compliments are encouraged. Please note that this is not a competition.
A very special exhibition is planned for lunchtime on Saturday - the Food Court will be open! Have you been working on a dish that you're anxious to show off? Wanted to dabble in period cooking, but not willing to prepare an entire feast? Then come join the Food Court! We'll provide the space, some kitchen facilities and a hungry and appreciative audience. Contact Juan and Rose or check out the Fall Collegium web site for additional information.
Food! Lunch will be served both days. $3 each day, kids under 10 half price, kids under 6 free. (Yes, there is a difference from the feast ~ more kids eat the lunch...) We will serve the first 60 who sign up each day.
Feast: The dinner menu will be primarily Arabic. There will be plenty of choices for both carnivores and vegetarians, however, if you have any dietary restrictions, please contact Rose in advance. Feast tickets are $8, kids under 10 half price, kids under 6 free, and seating will be limited to 75.
You can pay lunch both days and the feast in advance. Send $14 to Lord Aaron, and clearly mark out what you think you're paying for. Please send the feast checks to Lord Aaron of Buckminster (contact info omitted) and CLEARLY mark the front of the envelope "Collegium Feast" Make checks payable to "West Kingdom Collegium."
Additional information about the site and classes will be available in the October Page. Please contact Juan or Rose at (phone) or email to (email) or (email) to sign up for classes, or check the Fall Collegium web page at (web address), for current information.
