Ramona Garden Park,
Garden Beach, CA
From The Page (March, 2001):
Leave the children with the governess and romance the day away at the 17th Annual Borderwinds Court of Love in the Barony of Tammist. This year's Court of Love is held in honor of our Lady of Love and Beauty, Marie Montaigne du Argent. The theme is Lansknecht. There is a prize for the best theme garb, but feel free to enjoy the day in your own period garb. A wonderful German feast will be prepared by Jenna Whiteheart for all guests. The site is dry, but coffee and water will be provided with the feast.
There will be a heavy tourney on site to prove your love (and win a sturdy buckler). In addition, there will be a rogue contest for all those silver-tongued devils roaming the country side. For those that prefer the finer arts, there will be an A&S competition for needlework influenced by the Lansknecht period. Documentation is not necessary to enter your needlework. Finally, to close out the day, feasting and merriment will abound as our Lady of Love and Beauty judges tiie crimes of love through song and poem. Bards, present to Our Lady your original modem middle-ages songs or poems of romance, chivalry, or naughty subject. We will all enjoy a day of merriment and a night of romance!
Autocrat: Muirgheal nic Cord (contact info omitted).
