Napa Masonic Temple,
From The Page (October, 1999):
The Barony of Vinhold (located in the beautiful Napa Valley) cordially invites you to it's Annual All Hallows Feast. Hiis year we are celebrating 18 years of continuous feast making by hosting "the best of Vinhold feasts" using our favorite recipes from past feasts!
Since the time of Baron Sir Erick, the Barons of Vinhold have sponsored a dessert subtlety competition at the feast. For those who are interested in entering, this year we would request that your subtlety be dedicated to Vinhold in all her glory! This year we are also hosting an open brewing competition, no documentation necessary.
All Hallows is also when the Baron and Baroness dioose the next Bard of Vinhold. The job consists of doing something bardic for the Baron at the Baronial Championship Tourney and at All Hallows Feast (and any other time you want to spout off). For this, you get protection from the Baron and the right to demand that he fill the Bardic Cup with whatever he is drinking!
Bardic Competition requirements: Three pieces. A humorous piece (drinking/wine theme gets bonus); a serious piece (drinking/wine theme gets bonus) and a Three Words piece (you pull words from hat when you sign up, then have all afternoon to work them over. Drinking/wine theme gets demerit—show your versatility.) Judging criteria: Performance and content. Documentation of period style/form a bonus, but not required. Bonuses/demerits will be used to differentiate in close judgment calls; a bad drinking song will still lose to a good love poem.
Site Info: the feast will be held at the Napa Masonic Temple; the address is (address omitted), Napa, CA.
