Silver Desert invites you to join us on Dec. 4 for our Christmas party from 4-10 PM. Our theme this year is "Party Like It's 999."
Competitions: The cooking contest categories are: Period desserts; Decadent deserts; and Period noshes. The performing contests will be; A scene or soliloquy from Shakespeare; The Round Tewitt (describing that grand project you'll do just as soon as you get a round tewitt); and Millenial filk. The arts contests will be: A boy's tunic for Gold Key; duct-tape Viking artifact (duct tape will be provided on site); and "Candles that ought to be burnt!"
There will be court dancing, belly dancing and perhaps even St.Vitus dancing.
Dinner will be buffet style, served throughout the evening. The province will provide the meat course and you're invited to bring a potiuck side dish.
Admission will be: $5 for adults, 12 & under free. There will be a dollar off for each of the following: Bringing a Toys-for-Tots item (brand-new toy in original packaging); a Gold Key donation; each contest entry; entertaining; and/or bringing a potluck dish. (Sorry, we can't offfer more than $5 credit per person, not that we wouldn't love to pay you for attending!)
