From The Page (February, 2000):

Kettil and Cat, the outgoing Lord & Lady of Golden Rivers, invite you to attend the tournament to choose the next champion. Fighters from all lands are invited to enter the lists. Invocation should be around 11:30, and there are many other activities planned as well. As customary, our revels are based on the theme of love and this year it will be with a Middle Eastern twist. Lady Cat plans a class on Middle Eastern favors, and competitions (to be completed before the event) include; Best display of your Heart on Your Sleeve; a valentine in calligraphy, any medium; and Best heraldic display of your consort's arms, in any medium.

During the day, we will be providing some Middle Eastern snacks for everyone to enjoy. The Bard of Golden Rivers competition will be held during the potluck supper and will be two pieces of the competitor's choosing, extra points given for love themes. The hall will be open all day from 10:30 am to 9 pm, with the potluck supper starting at 5 pm; please bring potluck for 8-10 people: A-M sides /breads, N-Z main dishes, and the Province will provide some desserts & drinks.

After supper, stay for some dancing, drumming, etc., until the hall closes. Crash space is available, please call the autocrat.
