"Yule, Yule" saith the Lord of Misrule!

Eskalyan Yule will be a cozy, comfortable event held at the Laborer's Hall In Anchorage, Alaska on Saturday December 4, 1999. Site will open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 9:00 p.m.

The Baronial Guard Tourney will be held at this event. (Baron Patrick has advised it will be single combat - not teams as done in the past. He will provide additional information at the event).

Otherwise,the day will be given over games, dancing and conviviality. There will be a potluck feast with beast and/or bird provided.

Competitions include: Bardic: Filking the carols, those not already SCA-filked (performed during feast) Dessert: 'Death By Chocolate' (winner to be declared the next Master/Mistress of Ambrosia) Dance: Most courtly pavane and Quick the Bard Games: Chess - Adult and treasures tournaments (please bring chess boards) Backgammon - as above, (we are seeking a knightly volunteer to run these; please contact any of the autocrats if interested)

Children: On-site creation of tree decorations; Mancala

Some things to note: Because the site has chairs but no tables, please be sure to bring your own table. This is a discreetly wet site; i.e. keep all empties to take home and be responsible at the event.

Pot luck: please bring a festive dish according to the following categories, by mundane last name: A - H Dessert / I-P starches/grains Q-Z vegetables/salads.

No, there will not actually be a Lord of Misrule; Please do not volunteer.

Site fee will be; $7 adults / $3.50 child 4-12 / Free children 0-3
