The Thirty-fourth Year

Baroness' Masked Ball -- Darkwood

December 18, 1999 (AS XXXIV)

Machado School,
Morgan Hill, CA

From The Page (November, 1999):

In the month of December, near year's end.
On Saturday, which is the eighteenth day,
With light and music the darkness to rend.
The Darkwood folk come together to play.
Through might of arms, winter fears to allay,
Lists shall ope at ten for those fighters bold
Who, in the next hour's tourney, shall slay.
Through valiant deeds, the spirits of the cold.
At six a feast hall shall open, 'tis told.
With revels for our beloved Blue Rose,
And glitt'ring masks made of silver and gold
Shall look out on our joys at the year's close.
So we invite you to come one, come all
To this, our own Baroness' Masked ball.
