The Thirty-fourth Year

Feast -- Danegeld Tor

January 30, 2000 (AS XXXIV)

St. John Lutheran Church,
Sacramento, CA

From The Page (January, 2000):

The Shire of Dangeld Tor again invites all to join with us in our annual Winter Solstice Feast and Revel as we take a trip with Columbus, starting with his birth in Italy and ending in Spain after his victorious trip to the New World. Our trip starts in Italy with Ravioli and Antipasto, continues on to Portugal with Caldo Verde Soup and bread, then onto Spain with Basque Lamb and Chorizo, then after he gets support from King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, onto the new World with Turkey and an Aztec Dish, ending with his victorious return to Spain with Flan and Spanish chocolate. It promises to be quite delicious.

Plan to arrive on or about four in the afternoon. The feast will be wholeheartedly underway promptly at five (no telling what will happen if adventuring sailors miss their meal). Food will be provided, but please provide your own drinks and tableware. This is a very discreet wet site, please remove your empties, trash bags will be provided.

There will be a raffle of many goods brought back from many voyages and raffle tickets are only $1.00 each or at the bargain rate of 6 for $5.00. Since this is the same weekend as Cynagua Investiture, plan to come to both; crash space will be provided. Calling ahead or contacting Captain Malachias at (email address) will make arranging for crash space a bit easier, but is not absolutely necessary.

Merchants are most assuredly welcome. Please RSVP; space is limited. A merchants' fee of an item that has a minimum value of $5 is requested in lieu of a separate fee.

Site fee: $12.00; please RSVP to Anne O'Locksley, (contact info omitted).

Autocrat: Michael Ramsgate (phone)

Feast Autocrats: Anne O'Locksley and Kyrstyan the Songmaker.

Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
