The populace of the Known Worlde is invited to the third annual Great Western War, an Inter-kingdom gathering to celebrate the arts of war and of peace!
Fighting starts Wed., Nov. 10. Heavy (hard suit) weapons, Rapier, Schlager, Shinai, combat archery and siege weapon tournaments and scenarios will be happening throughout die event. There are also tavern and naval scenarios in the works for Rapier, Schlager, and Shinai fighters.
Arts activities include a Laurel's Prize Tourney, three days of classes, interactive demos, music jam sessions (vocal and instrumental) and dancing. We are planning several archery tournaments, a variety of novelty shoots and some surprises. Equestrians will likewise enjoy splendid activities, including the opportunity to rent horses. A beautiful shopping area on the greensward overlooking the lake will be filled with merchants. Volunteers are needed!
Fees: Preregistration; Arriving Tuesday thru Thursday, Adults: $28.00, Children: $12.50; Arriving Friday or later, Adults; $22.00, Children: $9.50.
