The Thirty-third Year

Feast & Dinner Theater -- Westermark

April 17, 1999 (AS XXXIII)

JW Fair Middle School,
San Jose, CA

From The Page (March, 1999):

Come sample the hospitality of the Barony of the Westermark at its annual spring feast and Baroness' Birthday Party. Partake of a lavish 6 course Burgundian feast cooked by Lord Mikhail Justinian featuring his renowned barons of beef

Once Upon A Time... The Westermark Players decided to bring culture and refinement to their Barony by presenting works of the Immortal Bard himself. Poor Will is still rolling in his grave and most of the Players still don't know what they were saying. Since culture didn't work the Players have decided to harken back to their childhood days...

Yes, that's right folks, we're doing fairy tales SCA style. Join us on a merry romp through the rose-tinged world of long ago when trolls still jumped out and ate you just for crossing over the wrong bridge and random wolves would come by and blow down your pavilion. The Westermark Players Present: Twisted Tales of the Westermark (and we don't care if those Grimm boys don't like it cause they ain't period anyway).

If anyone can still move after Mikhail's fabulous cooking, there will be an All Ages of (ok, Galliards through Viennese Waltz) Dance Party.

Hall opens at 3 pm and closes at 10pm. Tickets are $12 each. Please make cheques to SCA-Barony of the Westermark. Please purchase your ticket from a friendly Westermarker or call the autocrat by 5 April 1999.

Site: JW Fair Middle School in San Jose. Directions will be in next month's Page, on your tickets and on the flyers. THIS IS A DRY SITE.

IF YOU ARE A VEGETARIAN, OR HAVE OTHER DIETARY RESTRICTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT THE AUTOCRAT BY APRIL 10TH. Please read the feast handouts at the site.

Autocrat: Crystal of the Westermark (contact info omitted).
