From The Page (April, 1999):
Oyez, oyez, oyez! All within sight of this message pay heed! It has been decided by Morgana, Baroness Winter's Gate, that she should chose a Baron to help her watch over Their Majesties' subjects and land in the great north. It is planned that Taran de Montfort will step up as the first Baron of Winter's Gate on April 17. Georg and Katarzina, Prince and Princess of Oertha, plan to attend and officiate at the ceremony.
Taran, to celebrate his circleting, will sponsor a tourney of the northern branch of the Companions of the Gold Ring. The northern branch of the Oerthan Brewer's Guild is sponsoring a competition in cream cordials.
Morgana's whim is edible mushrooms (to be eaten at the feast); Taran's whim is something made of leather.
The feast will include a course of medieval dishes and a course of Renaissance dishes. Colored lentils will be provided by the autocrat for entertainment during the feast, should no one else volunteer to entertain the feasters.
The event will be held at Play-n-Learn, off the Parks Highway in the Chena Pump Plaza. The site will open at 10:00 a.m.
Site, lunch, and feast fee is $12 per adult, in advance; $15 per adult at the door (family fees to be negotiated).
Please RSVP so the able cooks will know how many they are cooking for. The site is discreedy wet.
Autocrat: Conandil Glass (contact info omitted).
