From The Page (May, 1998):
The Ancient, Honorable, and Frolicsome Province of Southern Shores invites fighters of every rank and station to join them for a day of good-natured competition. This year we are combining our annual Newcomers tourney with our Warlord tourney to ensure an event that has something for everyone! Three lists are planned for the day: 1st Year Newcomers; open to all fighters authorized for one year or less, 2nd Year Newcomers: open to all fighters authorized for two years or less (including those who entered the first list), and the Warlord Tourney; open to ALL fighters. Prizes will be awarded in all the Lists, and the winner of the Warlord tourney earns the honor of wearing the gull (yup, we're givin' 'em the bird...), and leading our troops to victory this season. Other activities include the Hunt for the One True Brick, a Raffle, Hunkerhauser, Games, Dancing, and a Coloring Contest for kids of all ages.
Competitions: Arts: Beginning Garb: first attempts at basic garb; we'll also be holding a roundtable class/discussion of tips to inrprove future endeavors. Sciences; Ironmongering (the Geoffrey Scott memorial competition...). Brick Spoon; Subtleties.
Site Info: The site will open at 8 am. List sign-ups start at 9 am, and fighting starts at 10 am. The site fee is $2.00.
Autocrat: Cyneswith aet Caldhaefen (contact info omitted).
