Sheika Kahena bint Qamar invites all to attend and do her honor in her Baronial Championship Tournament. Activities will include a First Sword Tourney, a Baroness' Champion Tourney, Honour Guard trials for light and heavy fighters, prize melees, an archery prize tourney, an A&S competition for "All Things Middle Eastern" (documentation, please), the Bard of Fettburg Competition, and an Arab vs Crusader persona skirmish.
Potential Honour Guard members will be required to: 1) Show prowess on the eric or on the archery range, 2) perform a song, poem, or story during the dinner on Saturday night, 3) play a game of chess, 4) play one additional medieval game, 5) name two other medieval games, 6) blazon the baronial device, 7) recognize and identify other common SCA devices, 8) demonstrate knowledge of batde tactics, and 9) enter the A&S competition. All potential entrants must call the baroness AT LEAST two weeks in advance at (phone omitted) (no calls after 9:00 p.m., please), and have a hand-caligraphed letter of intent for Her Excellency on the day of testing.
