Churchill County Fairgrounds,
From The Page (April, 1999):
Cry Havoc! All good gentles are invited to join Fendrake Marsh in righting the grievous wrong done unto them by the Silver Desert!
As a new shire, the only thing Fendrake Marsh lacks is a Peer. The Silver Desert, which oppressed the Fendrakken for years, has an abundance of Peers. One Silver Desert Peer, Master Sir Khaalid al Jaraad, not only owns land in Fendrake Marsh, but his lady, the gracious Lady Africa, works in Fendrake Marsh. This situation has prompted the Fendrakken to rightftdly claim Master Sir Khaalid as their own. The Silver Desert, avaricious bunch that they are, has refused to turn him over and has threatened to educate the Fendrakken in the "School of Hard Knocks." This has ruffled feathers all over the Marsh!
This matter will be decided on the field of honour. All good gentles who chafe under the yoke of tyranny (or just want to fight) are invited to come to Fendrake Marsh and choose sides. The following contest will be for war points: Peer Pampering, Chess, Rapier Tourney, Period Desserts, Tablero (an evil drinking game imported from AnTir), A&S Display, Eric Flags, Archery, Missile Throwing, Smalls Boffer Tourney, and a Period Pot-Luck-to-the-Death. There will also be many war battles. Light fighters are encouraged participate.
Site fee: $6 for those 12 years old and over. The site will open at 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, and close at 12:00 noon Sunday, April 18.
Autocrat: Alexandre DuFault (contact info omitted).
