Peters Creek Picnic Area,
Peters Creek, AK
From The Page (August, 1998):
The Hunt is Up... And it is well nigh the day...
Welcome will be all who join the Canton of Inbhir na Da Abhann in its annual stocking of the larders for winter. With hopes that the White Stag or other mythical game may be found in the wild forests, there will be a Summer Hunt for such, to be held on Samrday, August 15 at the Peters Creek Picnic Area in Peters Creek, Alaska.
Bring your hounds (the human kind) and fighting gear as all may be involved. Activities besides hunting include the delicious Picnic Basket Auction (a fund-raiser for the Canton), an obstacle course for both amiored and unarmored contestants, with ideas filked from Young Ivanhoe, and children's activities from our Pied Piper Trunk.
The site will open at 10:00 a.m., with the hunt beginning around high noon. Lunch is brown basket or encouraged auction items. We will be closing the site at 5:00 p.m. that we may adjourn for a Bardic to share with our friends from near and far until the wee hours. Site fee is $2.00 per person, 2 years old and under free (checks can be made payable to SCA Inc., Inbhir na Da Abhann).
Autocrat: Sorcha Careman (contact info omitted).
