The Thirty-third Year

Beltane Coronation

April 29 - May 2, 1999 (AS XXXIII)

Rancho Seco Park,
Herald, CA

From The Page (March, 1999):

Beltane Coronation will be held at Rancho Seco Park. There is a lake with a swimming area immediately adjacent to our camping areas (parents, please note), a small concession stand, showers, and flush privies.

THE SITE WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL NOON FRIDAY! Please plan your h-ip accordingly. Site closes at 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Site fee is $5.00 per person; children 5 and under are free. There will be RV spaces available by reservation only. Please call the park office at (phone omitted) to reserve space (mention that you are with the SCA).

All animals must be leashed and attended or else confined at all times. Please remember that we will be sharing this site with others and take reasonable precautions regarding valuables, etc. The park requests that for your personal safety, you use only the designated swimming area, as the remainder of the lakebed is not kept free of debris. All fires (firepits, hibachis, etc.) must be 18 inches off the ground (NO groundfires allowed!). In addition, vehicles will not be allowed onto the camping areas, so please bring handcarts if you have them.

Parking near the camping area is limited. Additional parking is available approximately a quarter mile away by the administration offices. Please plan to unload your vehicles and move them to the overnight parking immediately to ensure unloading space for people arriving after you. The park gate closes at 7:00 p.m. daily. We will have the gate open late Friday night; the usual SCA lock will be in place the rest of the time.

Autocrat: Gwenhwyfaer ferch Gwilym (contact info omitted).
