From The Page (November, 1998):
Welcome be to all who join the Canton of Battle Rock's Celtic Harvest. Our day will be full of many fun and wondrous things. There will be classes on chainmail making, dance, courtly graces and T-tunic making. There will also be children's activities. You are encouraged to participate in the Arts and Sciences Competitions: best knotwork (anything) and best needlework (anything). There will also be a Sausage and Ground Meats competition and a Fruit Desserts competition to be judged and eaten at lunch. (Please bring copies of your recipes.) Our dinner entertainment will be a Bardic competition, so bring your favorite song, poem, or story on the subject of honour and courtesy. An original is the most worthy. So join in the dancing, fighting, feasting and fun. Merchants are welcome.
The cost for the day is only $5. Should you wish to stay for feast, the cost is $10. Plus we are asking everyone to bring one canned good per family member as a donation. Smalls 6-12 are half price; 5 and under are free. Feast space is limited; please call in advance to reserve. Come to the Torii Chapel Annex from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Autocrat: Countess Brigit of Mercia (contact info omitted)
