Prepare for a journey to far-off lands; visit the middle east with us! Full menus and Tickets for this event will be available from various Westermarkers near you starting at 12th night. There WILL be a play, performed by the Westermark Players; watch this space for more information in January!

Visit the Middle East with us! Come join the Barony of the Westermark in a celebration of wonderful food and entertainment. The site is the Los Altos Youth Center, (address), Los Altos, The hall opens at 3:00 p.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m.

MENU - Drinks: mint or ginger sekanjabin, lemon sweetwater. Kibbe (appetizers): hais, dried fruit, pickled mixed vegetables. First Remove: bread, vegetable soup, meatballs, rice and carrots, hulwa. Second Remove: cucumber yogurt, tharda of lamb with garbanzos, fish with harissa tahini, pickled laeets, makashufa. Third Remove; cheese bread, chicken with pomegranate, artichoke hearts and fava beans, stuffed eggplant, mussia.

There will be varied entertainments between removes, including a performance by the Westermark Players and an exhibition of Middle-Eastern dance. (Note: Entertainers and servers are still welcome to volunteer; come and eat free! Call or email the autocrat by February 6.)

Tickets for the feast are $11.00 and are available from the autocrat, cooks, and other Westermarkers. Contact the autocrat if you wish to attend off-board, and the cooks if you have food questions or dietary restrictions.
