From The Page (October, 1997):
Come one, come all to Teufelberg's Anniversary Tourney! Bring your fighters! Bring your dancing shoes! Bring your children! We will delight this day in all manner of family-oriented games and activities as well as some down-and-dirty (yet honorable) fighting. As for the fighting—melees, a prize tourney (bring up to three prizes with which to buy lives), a champion's tourney (participants must be shire members). Non-fighting activities may include dancing, limericks (clean ones!—it is possible!), coloring contests, boffer-crossbow competition, hunkerhauser, miscellaneous games and other things we haven't thought of yet. IF you know a dance, a song, or a game, come teach it!
We will also be having a potluck! The Shire will provide the coals, bring your own protein and a dish to share. This is a "wet" site. Pavilions and sunshades are welcome. There is NO SITE FEE, donations are welcome, but not required.
