The Thirty-second Year

Prize Tournament -- Montaigne du Roi

February 21-22, 1998 (AS XXXII)

Fort Ord,
Monterey, CA

From The Page (February, 1998):

Hear ye! Hear ye! The canton of Montagne du Roi invites all good gentles to join us for a wedding and Ladies'/Consorts' Tourney. Saturday, February 21, we will be celebrating the wedding of Lord Alan of MDR and Lady Slaine nic Bliloscaidh. The ceremony will be followed by a feast. The revelry will carry on well into the night. The following day we will sponsor a Ladies'/Consorts' Tourney in honor of the blushing bride. Plan for a mad dog style tourney and possibly an obstacle course. There will be various and sundry activities for non-comljatants as well.

The site is located on the former Fort Ord, and camping will be available from 12:00 noon Friday, February 20, through the end of Sunday's activities for those wishing to attend the wedding and subsequent revel. The site opens Saturday at 11:00 a.m. The bride and groom ask that you make reservations with the autocrat before February 14 if you plan to attend the wedding. Lists will open Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and close at 10:30 a.m. Fighting will start at 11:00 a.m. Sunday there will be a plowman's lunch provided, including soups, sandwiches, and drinks. The site fee for Sunday (lunch included) will be $5. The fee for both days (feast and lunch included) will be $8.

Autocrat: Lord Armand de la Croix (contact info omitted).
