The Thirty-second Year

Flanna's Demi-Centennial/Summer Solstice Celebration -- Eskalya

June 19-21, 1997 (AS XXXII)

Centennial Park,
Anchorage, AK

From The Page (June, 1997):

Come one. Come All!!! Come join House SeaRose in celebrating My Lady's and My Knight's Birthday and Summer Solstice at the back of Centennial Park in the group campground on the June 19-21. We are planning to have a Pas-de-Arms led by Viscount Sir Georg of Glacier's Edge so bring your armor for a good day of fighting for Honor and Chivalry.

For those interested in non-fighting activities we are also planning to have games, dancing and a bardic to last into the "night". We will also be having the Great Eskalyan Garage Sale and Mathom Exchange so go through your closets, basements and storage tourney boxes for all the old feast gear, armor, fabric and such that you want to sell, trade or giveaway because you are tired of looking at it. Arts and Crafts for sale are also welcome. If you are planning to have a large display please bring your own table as the picnic tables will be limited. There shall also be a contest sponsored by the Baronial Arts and Sciences Officer for New Summer Garb. Feast will be potluck with food assignments as follows: A - F: Side Dishes, G - N: Main Dishes, O - T: Breads and Spreads, U - Z: Desserts (other than cakes). Lunch will be picnic-style so bring your own stuff.

There will be a contest for the best Birthday Cake. Please keep in mind that this party is for two different people (Mistress Flanna and Sir Georg) so you can do a "one cake fits all" type or you are welcome to do two different ones.

Setup will be on Friday night and tear-down will be Sunday after fighter practice. Site fee will be $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children under 12. If you have any questions please contact the autocrat, Morgan Lyonel, at (contact info omitted). Hope to see you there.
