The Thirty-second Year

Court of Love Tourney -- Borderwinds

March 7, 1998 (AS XXXII)

Veteran's Memorial Cultural Hall,
Santa Maria, CA

From The Page (February, 1998):

The annual Court of Love is here again, lords and ladies! Time once again to honor our Lady of Love and Beauty, Mistress Ellen of the Western Winds (all hail to her wonderfulness!). Come spend the day with us and stay for the Court of Love feast, later. There will be a tourney beginning at 12:00 noon for those interested in showing off their fighting prowess. The Court of Love's theme is Moorish Spain in the time of El Cid. We have 3 spots left for people wishing to entertain; those who do so will receive their feast ticket for free (we have lots of belly dancing already, but those wishing to get up and dance may do so). All inquires for these spots must be received before February 28.

Price of the feast tickets is $8.00 pre-paid (before February 25) and $10.00 at the door. Make checks out to "SCA, Inc. - Barony of Tarmnist." Site fee is $1.00. The feast hall is discreetly damp (no hard alcohol). Site opens at 10:00 a.m. Feast time: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
