The Thirty-first Year

Sheep Raid -- St. Brenadn

April 19-20, 1997 (AS XXXI)

Allyshian Great Hall,
Arcata, CA

From The Page (April, 1997):

Greetings Kind Gentles, Spring is upon us and our flocks have once again fared through the rough winter. Our hardy SHEEP were strong enough to withstand Neptune's wrath as his seas rose against our hapless hamlet, but a new threat has arisen. Da' Vikings are rumored to be stirring in the north and once again it seems we must protect our flock. Because the very livelihood of our College is at stake, I would put out the cry for help in defending against our SHEEP stealing enemies.

Come join the College of St. Brendan in repelling the Barbarians of the North and defending our SHEEP. Site Opens Saturday morning at 7:00am (Earlier arrivals can be arranged through the autocrat) Fighting will begin outside the Allyshian Great Hall at 11:00 am and continue through the day. The Allyshian castle will be reinforced with an earthen fort to aid the defenders. As well the hot tub will be ready to soothe the day's wounds. For all persons not engaged in the fighting arts & sciences classes will be offered throughout the day. After the day's fighting ends, join the vanquished and the victors in a celebration feast in the Great Hall. The feast will be a partial feast in that the bread, main dish (carnivorous and vegetarian), and dessert will be provided, as part of an experiment in finances and feasting the normal site fee has been lowered and we kindly ask that you bring enough of your favorite side dish to feed 6-8 starving fighters. Site Closes 2pm Sunday.

Site Pee: $8.00 + one side dish to feed 6-8 people. Crash Space Is Available On Site And Camping Is Permitted This Site IS WET.

Autocrat: Dughball MacIvor (contact info omitted).
