June Crown Tournament

June 22-23, 1996 (AS XXXI)

Fort Ord, CA

This years June Crown will be taking place on the main parade grounds of Fort Ord. All Fire pits must be raised, and because this is a federal reserve NO FIREARMS WILL BE ALLOWED ON SITE. This site has no running water, so please bring enough water for your needs. All fighters who arrive on site before 10:00 p.m. Friday are asked to sign up with the list, and please remember to bring your membership card, fighter authorization card, and your list shield.

ATTENTION FIGHTERS: Fourth Round of June Crown will be fought with mass weapon and shield, and Sixth Round will be fought with great weapons of 6.5 feet or less.

The agenda for June Crown will be as follows:
Friday:     Site opens at Noon, and Lists will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday:     Lists reopens at 8:00 a.m., and close promptly at 9:45 a.m.
Morning Court will be from ( approximately) 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
After Court there will be a 15 minute break before Invocation.
Invocation will begin at ( approximately) 11:15 a.m.
Crown Tourney will start at 12:00 noon
The Tournament of Roses will begin at the start of 5th Round.
Evening Court will be ( approximately) 1 hour after the tournament.
Sunday:      Lists will open for the tournament at 8:30 a.m. and close at 10:00 a.m.
8:00 a.m. Chivalry Meeting
9:00 a.m. Pelican Meeting
10:00 a.m. Laurel Meeting
The Tourney will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Closing Court will be after the Tourney

Merchants: The standard charge of $1.00 per frontage foot will be charged, and all merchants will be required to have proof of a California state sellers permit. Please contact the autocrat if you have any questions.

Contests: Please see the front of the Page for a full list of contests scheduled for June Crown, and contact the appropriate office or guild for judging times.

Page School: Saturday; making & playing a dice game called shut the box. Sunday; boffer tournament (bring a drinking vessel).

Archery: There will be I.K.A.C. & Royal Round Shooting, some loaner equipment available.

Site Fee: $5.00, 12 and under free.

Manuscripts & Morsels! There wih be a Kingdom-wide Arts & Sciences and Services display at June Crown, on Saturday from noon til 4pm. It will be held in the Mists A&S Pavihon, directly behind the Kingdom A&S Pavilion. ALL students are encourage to contribute! This is not a competition but an exhibition. There will be displays, performances, and period food. Come sample the wide variety of talents in the West Kingdom. Materials should be dropped off between 10-11:00 am.
