From The Page (December, 1996):

Website Minister Note: These two events were listed as one in the December issue of the Page, they are now listed as two events as of the January issue ... fun, fun, fun ...

Hail Kind Gentles! It's time once again for Hawk's Haven's famous and in-famous own... HAWK'S FEAST!

This year we go on a Viking and our Jarl for this venture is the most famous and feared of all the Vikings, why, none other than that scourge of Scandinavia, Hagar the Hortible! Since Hagar has been house bound of late, his larder is a tad low so he asked if we could provide him with a potluck style of feast with his friends in Hawk's Haven providing the meat. Rest assured that like the best of the feast made famous by the great sagas, there will be plenty to do in addition to eating.

Some examples of the activities being planned at this time: shield painting, summer helm construction (you'll just have to wait until the feast to find out), and anything else that we can find in our documentation (Hagar the Horrible's Nearly Complete Guide to Being a Viking). Warning: it has been rumored that many of the fair maidens have grown bored with the plunder brought home recently and have threatened a Viking Fashion Show! So put on your horned helm, dress up in your best Madonna breast plates, and bring your SPAM to the Hawk's Feast on January 18th.

Feast starts at 5:30 pm. Site: TBA. For more information contact the autocrat.

Autocrat: Sarah Elizabeth of Darkwood (contact info omitted)

From The Page (January, 1997):

Attention ArchersI The Darkwood Archery Tourney is upon us,-come string your bows and let fly your arrows for the glory and competition that inspires us all (and of course the prizes). Darkwood Baronial Company of Archers invites other members of Darkwood to compete for the hood and entrance into the Company. All archers are encouraged to come and post scores that help lead off the maintenance of your archer standing for the coming year.

Competition starts at 11:00am, Hoods arrive at 9:00am for setup. Baronial Archery Guild remember to bring your favors as there will be new' ones handed out according to your current standing.

Site Fee: $3.00
