The populace of the Known Worlde is invited to the first annual Great Western War, an Inter-kingdom gathering to celebrate the arts of war and of peace! On the third weekend of February, XXXI a.s. (1997 a.d.) Prado Park in California, will host the first encounter of the Great Western War. Prado is 2,280 acres of grass and trees, open fields, woods, and a beautiful lake. Many of the camp sites have water and electricity—RV campsites are available by prior arrangement... come early for a lakeside camping area. Horses are available for rental, and the lake permits fishing and boating.
Fighting: The batties this year will be designed i n consultation with military strategists from throughout the Known World. Combat archery will figure prominently i n several batties. Additionally, we offer a new feature for western warsites... Woods Batties!
Merchants: We have a beautiful shopping area on a grassy lawn overlooking the lake. A huge tent will be available for merchants without pavilions... .Midnight Madness shopping frenzy Sunday night, More information on selling at the Great Western War is available from the autocrat.
Cost: For camping Friday through Monday: $25.00 (early arrivals -Tuesday through Thursday- add $6.00)
