Manteca Senior Center,
From The Page (November, 1996):
To all good Gentles who read this, the Barony of Fett Burg invites you to join us on Saturday, December 7th at our Yule celebration being held in the Manteca Senior Center. As is our practice, the Barony will provide the meat for the dinner; we ask that you bring a side dish (salad or dessert) for 8 to 10 people. Our annual cooking competition will consist of any period recipe using sausage (documentation required). We are planning to have entertainers and other amusements to add to the enjoyment of our guests.
There will also be a competition for the Bard of Fett Burg, which is to be held during the evening hours. Anyone who wishes to compete needs to have two pieces ready prior to Yule. One piece will be on "Yule in Fett Burg", done in a period style (a song or poem). The second piece will be the entrant's choice. A third piece required will be composed on site; entrants will pick a subject out of a hat and will have sufficient time to compose their last entry. The winner will be the Bard of Fett Burg for the coming year.
Site Fee: $3.00 per person.
Autocrat: Fiona MacDonald (contact info omitted).
