Butte Co. Fairgrounds,
From The Page (May, 1996):
Ah! Spring is in the air and the sounds of shields bashing can be heard once again. So come one and all to the tourney for the Cornet of Cynagua. This is a new site at the Butte Co. Fairgrounds in Gridley, CA. There are plenty of water sites on the grounds along with the use of three permanent privies, (two with showers). Local shopping is just outside the main gate along with several restaurants and banks. Pets are OK, but must be on leashes at all times. Kingdom fire laws will be in effect. All mobile Dragons wagons must be removed from the site and placed within the Dragon pen area as soon as they are unloaded. We have plenty of camping space, but the fairgrounds want all vehicles off the site. There are farspeakers on the grounds if needed. We will be sharing this site with a R.V. group for the first three days. Please be kind and do not wander through their encampment.
On Saturday at 10am at Herald's Point, the Sable Swan Herald will conduct classes in voice heraldry. Members of the populace who are interested in assisting with either duty or field heraldry should attend.
Site Fee: $6.00 per person, under 6 free; $12.00 per night R.V. hookup includes site fee for two - call to reserve space; $10.00 Merchant Fee (includes site fee for one.) - call Merchant Autocrat to reserve space.
Autocrat: Lord John-Paul Blacklore (contact info omitted). and 8 p.m. Merchant Autocrat: Lord William Delamere of Darkmoor (contact info omitted). See photos of this event
