The Thirty-first Year

The Company of St. George Pas d'Arms -- Canale

July 20, 1996 (AS XXXI)

Phoenix Hall,
Winton, CA

From The Page (July, 1996):

Come Join the Company of St. George for our summer Pas d'Arms. For those not familiar with this tournament format, we are attempting to recreate a fourteenth to fifteenth century tournament featuring much pageantry, eloquent challenges, unique combat styles (such as counted blows, over the barrier, etc.). The emphasis in this style of tournament is not victory on the field, but in fighting well, as it is the gallery who chooses the winner.

Site: Phoenix Hall. The site fee of $15 includes the day's fighting, and a feast in the evening. The site opens at 9:30 am with the Pas d'Arms to begin at 11:00 am.

Directions: (omitted)

Autocrat: Robert of Woodsende (phone).

Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
