March 15, 1997 (AS XXXI)

Minami Center,
Santa Maria, CA

From The Page (February, 1997):

Court of Love, honoring our Lady of Love and Beauty - Baroness Kathryn Blackhart. This year's theme - you guessed it - Imperial Roma! (Toga, Toga, Toga!) The tourney and Gladatorial games begin at noon (setup 10am) to finish at 4:00pm. For more info, call the Baronial Marshal. Site fee is $1.00.

Then call your babysitters, and grab your sheets, for a full Roman Feast to begin at 5:00pm sharp, to end at 10:00pm. There will be fun and entertainment to be had by all, and contests to be seen, done, and heard; everything for our Lady's pleasure.

Contests:
1. Best song, poem, etc. honoring our Lady of Love and Beauty
2. Most interseting diversion - keeping the theme in mind.
3. Most creative Roman or Imperial Rome period-style garb
4. A period Meditterenean dessert to please our Lady of Love and Beauty

Also: we need more entertainers. Anyone interested in entertaining may get their dinner free - but must contact the autocrat at least one week in advance.

Feast Tickets: Tickets will be available in advance at $8.00, and $10.00 at the door, per person.

Autocrat: Jenna Whitehart (contact info omitted).
