Tired of trying to eat while wearing uncomfortable & constraining garb? Ever worried you might drop your napkin and not be able to bend far enough to pick it up? Well here's your best chance to shed the Elizabethan corsets and spend a comfortable evening wrapped in a few yards of your favorite fabric. (Chitons encouraged, but not required.) Come to the Westermark Greek Feast & Dinner Theater on Saturday, 20 April 1996. Site to be determined.
Tickets: $10 each, for sale beginning February 1st.

What: The Westermark Anniversary Feast. Come celebrate the Westermark in all its glory! This year's theme is a Greek feast. Dinner will include tasty delights from nearly all the fine cooks o'da Westermark featuring: Eggs in sauce. Fricassee of Sea Creatures, Pig Newtons, and dessert, then more dessert.
But That's Not All! The Westermark Players, a fine troop of actors and actresses, will perform Master Gerhardt von Nordflammen's morally uplifting and ennobling play, "You Prayed For It."
When: Hall opens at 4pm to midnight. Dinner begins 5pm. Cleanup begins 11pm.
Where: The Hall in Central Park, (address omitted) in the city of San Mateo. (directions omitted) This is a dry site. Lit candles are not permitted. Banners may be hung with masking tape only.
Why: 'Cause we're the Westermark, that's why! And 'cause we're the Westermark, we must maintain out reputation for tasteless extravagance. Sooo... only for the confident, the brave (or the color blind) we will have a Tacky Toga Contest, Time to show that 49-cents-a-yard-fabric you bought for lining doublets in all its ,,.uh,,, unique splendor. Changing rooms available for those who worry about spoiling the appetites of their fellow diners.
Tickets are a $10 donation, please make cheques payable to Barony of the Westermark, SCA. For those who are attending other events that day, but would like to attend the play and possible dancing, you are welcome to attend off-board for site fee of $3.00.
