From The Page (June, 1995):
Greetings from Desert Garden!
At the Estrella War, a challenge was issued to the Kingdom of Atenveldt to defend its borders, for the fighters of the West were restiess and eager to prove their prowess on the field of batde. As no warriors from Atenveldt appeared to accept our gage in honor last year at our Border Skirmish, we have until now, not exerted our rights to tithes and taxes, which is our right and the result of our gentle occupation of Atenveldt properties. As summer approaches, our mighty fighters once again begin to dream of conquest of more defenseless Atenveldt land and of more taxes due. Because the West is known for the fairness of its warriors, we will extend to Atenveldt's populace the courtesy of disputing our claims at another Border Skirmish to be held on July 29 and 30 at Palisades.
On the 29th the Skirmish will be held first, with many battle scenarios following. The Silver Coin Tourney will be held on the 30th. The prize will be a 1 troy ounce silver coin donated by Echo Bay Gold Mines. There will also be a quest and many other activities for all.
