The Thirtieth Year

Warlord Ascension -- Wuduholt be Secg
June 2-4, 1995 (AS XXX)

Rowdy Creek Campbround,
Crescent City, CA

From The Page (May, 1995):

It's been called the Warlord Immersion and the Warlord Evasion — this year we're hoping for the Warlord Invasion, as An Tir's Summits Region invades in a prelude to the big A&W War! Whatever you heard about the Warlord Ascension, one thing always rings true — It's FUN! and always interesting.

The An Tirians are massing at the borders of our Great Kingdom! IT's True! With the establishment of yet another Freehold on the border, the balance of power has shifted their way, and is enough to emboldened them to march upon our lands. Only with your help can the shire of Wudholt be Secg push them back over the border and prepare to march with the West's Great Army against the An Tirians in July!

Come help us choose our Ceremonial Warlord from any and all who fight bravely Saturday during multiple resurrection battles, then toast their victory throughout the night. Come join us on the cool coast and help break in our new castle and siege engines. Lights welcome! The more the merrier! West Kingdom archery conventions will apply to all missile combat. And for those of you who are less violent but still competitive, there will be three war-related competitions: Most glorious war banner, most revitalizing after-battle meal, and of course, most inspiring war saga. "If not for the glory of war, then what else?"

The event has been moved to a new site which includes flat ground for comfortable camping, shady trees to relax under, and a cool creek to swim in after a long day of fun-loving war. (Parents, please watch children, as there will be no lifeguard available.) There is a working well on site, but bringing your own drinking water is advised. West Kingdom fire laws will be in effect. Parking will be tight, so please carpool if possible.

Site fee: $5 per person, plus a tax of one unopened 12oz. bottle or can of your favorite beverage, or just $7. Smalls under 10 only $3, with no beverage tax. Infants no charge. All beverages collected will be raffled off, either as a whole or as lots on Saturday afternoon. All proceeds go to benefit the Wuddy War Fund. Tickets will be $1 each, or six for $5. Winners must be present to collect prizes.

Autocrat: Thorkil Stormchaser (contact info omitted)
