Summer Tournament -- Silver Desert

The Silver Desert will be holding its Summer Tournament in conjunction with the Valhalla Days Renaissance Faire at Camp Richardson on June 10th and 11th. The site opens and noon on Friday June 9th and closes after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday June 11th.

The Silver Desert Summer Tournament will consist of a passage of arms. The list will be open and challenges will be accepted on both Saturday and Sunday. Armor inspection will start at 9:30 and fighting will start at 11:00. Fighting will continue through the afternoon. (The schedule may be subject to change due to other activities at the Faire.) All authorized fighters are invited to participate. There will be a $2.00 donation accepted for entry to the list to defray the Province's expenses. There will be prizes for the most chivalrous fighter and for the fighter with the best looking, period armor.

The fee to enter the Faire is $6.00, however, anyone who RSVPs to the autocrat PRIOR to May 29th will be allowed in free of charge. Check in for the participants is between noon and 10:00 p.m. Friday and 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. All persons who wish to camp MUST set up prior to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and MUST RSVP to the Autocrat PRIOR to May 29th as camping is limitted. Other specific, special arrangements may be made by contacting Aurelia at (phone) PRIOR to May 29th.

There will be a Bar-B-Que on Saturday evening for all participants. This B-B-Q will be free to all participants who RSVP to the Autocrat PRIOR to May 29th. Further, lunch and snacks will be provided to all participants who RSVP prior to May 29th. If you have special needs contact Aurelia or the Autocrat prior to May 29th.

All period encampments not in the special camping area must be set up prior to 9:00 a.m. Saturday and can not be taken down until after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Please note, all encampments on the Eric must be period. Please keep all nonperiod articles hidden while the Faire is open to the public.

NO cars will be allowed on site while the Faire is open to the public.
