The Barony of Winter's Gate welcomes one and all to visit Spain in the winter. Feast will be Spanish/Moorish with such delectables as tapas Rojoes Comino and Tortillitas de Camarones, main dishes of Polio as Ajillo, Llom de Pore am Salsa de Magrana and Boles de Picolat, and for dessert a 15th Century Flaon. So be sure to make those feast reservations and payments early.
Competitions known to date are: Her Highness" Whim-Turtles in any mode (be creative: please do not further endanger the turtle species); Autocrat's Whim- Handcrafted gifts in any mode (all entries will be donated to the Winter's Gate Baronial Gift Chest); Laurels Arts & Sciences-Create your fantasy SCA project (if you had all the time and money you needed, what would you want to do and how would you go about preparing it?); Brewer's Guild-Liqueurs, Cordials, Beers, Ales, Wines, Meads, and nonalcoholic Brews; Guild Brewmaster Special-fruited beers; Ivory thimble-winter garb embellishment.
Site fee: Until Dec. 12th; $25 for family, or $12 for adults, $10 for ages 15-18, $5 for ages 7-14. After Dec. 12th; $30 for family, or $15 for adults, $12 for ages 15-18, $6 for ages 7-14, Children under 7 are free. Site fee includes Saturday lunch and Sunday brunch. Saturday feast tickets are $15 per adult. Feast reservations are limited, and will only be accepted until Dec. 15th.

Site: The event will take place at the Southside Community Center, just off Cushman St. in Fairbanks. There is only limited access to the on-site kitchen. The site will be open Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm, and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.
