Crystal Peak Equestrian Center,
From The Page (September, 1995):
The Fall Equestrian Tourney will be held at the Crystal Peak Equestrian Center in Verdi, NV (this is a small town between Truckee, CA and Reno, NV). The site opens at 9:00 am and the events will begin at 10:00 am. Site fee is $5.00 per rider, $2.00 for non riders.
Events will include rings, quintain, knock the head off the Saracen and a Quest. Some rental horses are available for $55.00 for the day. Two riders may share a horse for $27.50 each. If this is what you wish to do, let the autocrat know when you send a check (you may let me know that you already have a partner or that you will need one). Checks for rental horses must be received by 9/1 and should be made out to Crystal Peak Equestrian Center.
The site has an arena, miles of open country and a tree-shaded meadow near the river about a mile from the arena (good spot for a quest stop).
Those bringing their own horses from CA should check with their vet for necessary interstate shots (Coggins, etc.). The site will have some paddocks available for those wishing to return home on Sunday. If you plan to bring your own horse and stay overnight, let the autocrat know. Hotels in Reno are less than 10 miles from the site.
Autocrat: Siobhan ni Seaghdha (contact info omitted)
