Colusa County Fairgrounds,
From The Page (May, 1995):
The Barony of Rivenoak welcomes one and all to come enjoy Cynagua Spring Coronet, to be held on the grassy tree filled meadow at the Colusa County Fairgrounds in beautiful Colusa. This site has the benefit of flat lawns, flush privies, and hot showers. All fires must follow SCA West Kingdom standards, and pets must be on a leash.
On Saturday of Coronet, their Highnesses are sponsoring a William Marshal style tournament as a fund raiser for the PAGE. For a $5 entrance fee, each fighter will be given a bag of tokens as their 'ransom' for the day's combat. One's ransom will depend on their rank, the higher the precedence, the higher the ransom. Teams, or conrois, of up to six members can be assembled. If you are 'killed', you become the property of the person that killed you until you can be ransomed. It is the responsibility of the victor to bring you to a herald to record the victory and collect the ransom, and then you become free to rejoin your conroi and continue fighting until you become impoverished or wish to stop competing. Prizes, in addition to any ransoms gained, will be given to the most successful tourneyer, the most chivalrous tourneyer as selected by the participants and to the conroi that is outfitted in the manner most pleasing to their Highnesses. For more information and a complete rules list, contact Olof Guddmunddsson (mundane name) at (phone).
The Coronet lists will be held on Sunday. Their Highnesses wish to continue the custom of bearing your banner on the field, and ask that each entrant in the list have their banner at Invocation.
Their Highnesses wish it known that the meetings of the Orders of La Courtesia and Friendly Castle will take place on Saturday evening, and that a Consorts' Tea will be held on Saturday afternoon.
