The Twenty-ninth Year

Championship Tourney and Newcomers' Faire -- Rivenoak

March 4, 1995 (AS XXIX)

Ord Bend Park,
Chico, CA

From The Page (March, 1995):

Rivenoak challenges all fighters to take the field to prove a new champion. This has traditionally been a hard-fought battle and a good warm-up for March Crown. The competition is open to any fighter and will involve some weird weapons and melees. The Newcomers' Faire is designed to give new members and moderns a taste of what we do. Activities will include dancing, hunkerhauser, and other games, and there will be on-site pouch-making and potato-stamp-making competitions. We are also having a work in progress competition, bring an unfinished example of something you have learned in the last year. Last but not least we're having a brewing and cordials competition. Please provide documentation for the work in progress and brewing competitions. Alcohol and leashed pets are permitted. Ord Bend Park is on the Sacramento River, so parents should protect their smalls.
