Once again, Oerthan Coronet Tourney and Investiture will take place in the land of the (nearly) endless summer sun, at the Dogmusher's Hall and adjacent field on Farmer's Loop in Fairbanks, AK.
The site opens at 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon and will remain open until 10 p.m. Sunday evening. Camping is available and encouraged, though there may be some restrictions on fire usage (depending on how hot and dry it has been). Crash space may be arranged, but the autocrat must be contacted prior to the event. Water and showers are available on site, and some limited kitchen access. Potential merchants should contact the autocrat.
The site fee is $15 for adults, $10 for ages 15-18 and $5 for ages 7-14. Onboard fee is $25 for adults, $15 for ages 15-18 and $10 for ages 7-14. Children under 7 are free. Family fee is $25 off board and $60 onboard. Site fee includes a light meal Friday evening, Saturday lunch and Sunday brunch. Onboard fee includes the Royal Picnic Saturday evening feast.
Competitions: His Highness' Whim - poetry to woo by (original, to be presented and judged at the Saturday evening meal); Her Highness' Whim - Chocolate Edibles (extra points for having been cooked on site, to be presented to Her Highness anytime Saturday); Arts and Sdences - Ale Quest (any homemade beverage of Oerthan aboriginal ingredients; Ivory Thimble - an exercise in research and documentation.
