Laguna Grande Park,
From The Page (December, 1994):
Come one, come all to the Sixth Annual Montaigne du Roi Prize Tourney!
The tournament is planned as a double-elimination (this may change, depending on the number of fighters to list up). Spectacular prizes will be awarded as always, including one for the traditional Best Death. List sign-up is $1.
The site fee is $5.00, and includes lunch at the famous Montaigne du Roi tavern. (Rumor has it that the food last year made the Prince of the Mists moan!) Lunch will be served buffet-style beginning at noon, but pastries and coffee will be available as early as 9 a.m .. If you have special dietary concerns, call Caitlin O'Byrne (name/phone). There will, as always, be vegetarian items available.
Laguna Grande park is in a relatively visible area, so all possible medieval display (i.e. banners, pavilions, etc.) are encouraged. Alcohol is not allowed at this site. There will be no additional fees for merchanting.
The site will open at 9 a.m.; armor inspection and so forth will begin at 10 a.m., and the fighting will commence at around 11.
Autocrat: Garrett Todhunter (name/contact info).
