Half Moon Bay, CA
From The Page (October, 1994):
Mists/Cynagua War will be held this fall on a private hilltop just south of Half Moon Bay. Site fee will be $7. There is no water on site. There is also no shade, but in Half Moon Bay this should not matter. We will be bringing in water for the water bearers, but all others will need to bring in their own. Access to the site is on a narrow and fairly steep, concrete road. When entering the site, take the right hand road. There will be a Hastings lock on the gate if you arrive when there are no constables. If you do not know what a Hastings lock is please ask someone or call the autocrat. The road will be one way only. Please follow the signs and the directions of the constabulary when driving on site. Fires are allowed only in raised pits.
By the request of both their Highnesses, there will be a clearly delineated noisy and quiet end of camp. Please camp appropriately. Opening court will be 10 a.m. Saturday with fighting starting at 11. We will not be taking a lunch break. The fighting will be run in the spirit of West/An Tir with only short breaks between scenarios. Standard West Kingdom war rules with archery will be used. Exception - certain scenarios will have a polearm length limit of 7 1/2 feet. Please be prepared.
Important: This event is happening on the same weekend as the Pumpkin Festival in Half Moon Bay. This may make traveling difficult Saturday morning and evening and Sunday evening starling at 5 p.m. Please make your travel plans accordingly.
Autocrat: Llam Catach O'Maollbhreanainn (name/phone).
