Carson City, NV
From The Page (January, 1995):
Come feast with the Shire of the Dancing Women on various and sundry medieval foods (that are actually edible). Enjoy food, court dancing, belly dancing, and whatever else tempts our attentions. There will be an arts competition for wall hangings, so bring your banners, tapestries, and whatever other wall adornments you may have! The site is the Moose Lodge in Carson City, Nevada. This is a wet site, but you'll be patronizing the merchants of the Fraternal Order of the Moose for your spirits - the site owners require that all alcohol be purchased from them.
Weather concerns: Nevada always has two weeks of beautiful weather in February. Unfortunately, we never know if it is going to be the first two or the last two!! Please call the autocrat on February 2nd or 3rd for local weather conditions if you will be travelling over the mountains.
Site fee is $10.00, and advance reservations are GREATLY appreciated. Please make checks payable to SCA Inc. (Shire of Jabal al-Samira) and should be sent to the autocrat. If crash space is desired, please call the autocrat no later than January 25th to make arrangements.
Autocrat: Rhodry the Rhowdy (name/contact info).
