Archers from all comers of the Known World are invited to demonstrate their archery prowess at the Darkwood Summer Archery Tourney. The tourney will be held at Machado School In Morgan Hill on Saturday July 16. The site will open at 9 a.m. for warm ups, and the competition will begin at 10 a.m. The site fee is $5 per adult.
Archers will participate In IKAC and Royal Round competitions to determine the next member of the Baronial Company of Archers and the Champion Archer. Prizes will be awarded to the top three shooters in each guild rank. BegInners are particularly encouraged to participate. Some loaner equipment will be available.
There will also be a novelty shoot and an archery guild fund-raiser, wherein Wilhelm's taunting of the populace is stifled using combat arrows. In addition to the archery events there will be a spectacular Page School faire, a potluck dinner, revel with entertainment and dancing. Meat is provided; please bring a side dish to share.
The sciences competition is bow bags, or other storage bags. The arts competition is belly dancing, for any or all levels. Everyone is encouraged to display banners to add to the festive atmosphere.
