Santa Cruz Business and Professional Women's Club,
Santa Cruz, CA
From The Page (October, 1994):
Good gentles, the Canton of Caer Darth is once again holding it's age old and honorable (shh, don't tell the Royals) Poacher's Feast. 'Tis true the skilled hunters and huntresses of the Canton and the Barony of Darkwood have managed to stockpile extra venison and game hens for this occasion. There will be beef for those who don't eat venison. The feast is being held at the Santa Cruz business and Professional Women's Club, the same site that it was held last year. There will be a variety of entertainment and dancing. There will also be a Science competition of siege weapons. These siege weapons must be capable of hurling bread balls. The judging will be done on originality, creativity, and distance. Keeping with the tradition of the Poacher's feast of the past we ask that you dress down to your finest of peasantry. We also ask that since we are all feasting, "on the lamb" so to speak, that any member of the royalty or peerage come in disguise or dressed down. This is a pot luck event with the Canton supplying the meat and the break down, by mundane last name as follows: A-E main dish, F-M side dish/salad, N-R dessert, and S-Z bread. The site fee is $5 and there is limited seating available. Tickets will be on sale from the autocrat: Gunar Merielson (name) at (phone/address). We'll see you at the feast where misrule shall rule again.
