The Twenty-eighth Year

Annual Winter Feast -- Westermark

February 26, 1994 (AS XXVIII)

Site: Fairoaks Community Center, Redwood, CA

From The Page (January, 1994):

The Barony of Westermark is hosting their annual winter feast. Our theme this year is East/West. What we may have fed our gallant fighting men before they left on crusades, and what they may have eaten when they arrived in the Middle East.

Come and revel with us. We will begin reveling at 5:30 p.m. Bring your favorite games and socializing smile, for singing, drinking and general reveling. If you come early, a hand setting up will be appreciated. If you play an instrument, they are welcome too.

We will begin serving at 7 p.m. There will be many fine and delicious selections appropriately presented for your evening's repast. Expertly prepared by the past and present Baronesses of Westermark. And enjoyable entertainment while we partake and imbibe. There will be both meat and vegetarian dishes served.

We would also like to invite all who wish, to participate in our nights competitions. Best period table decorations and storytelling during dinner. There will also be a raffle. Several prizes will be awarded, including a full size, multi blue colored, hand crocheted by the autocrat, afghan. Tickets are 25 cents a piece or five for $1. You do not need to be present to win though being there would be more fun.

Adults at $10, children are $6 12-5, and under 5 are free. An excellent value, for all the food you can eat and all the fun you can abide. Tickets will be on sale beginning at 12th Night and on through February 6. There will still be a few tickets for sale at the door. Raffle tickets will also be on sale at the same times. See the autocrat. Tickets may also be purchased by mail. Send a note of how many you'd like, your name, and check made out to the Barony of Westermark; and we will hold them at the door for you.

Autocrat: Cathleen McCollom (name/contact info).
