Site: Cragmont Park, Berkeley, CA
"My lord, I challenge you because the sky is blue and the grass is green -- that's color on color, and I need your armor, fesswise, to fimbriate it."
The site is Cragmont Park in Berkeley, on Regal Rd at the top of the hill. There is no site fee. Return to the olden days of A.S. single-digits, when fighters had enough free time to issue challenges and to fight for the love of combat, and when the whole Society was small enough to hold Crown Tourneys in Cragmont Park. If it's dry, we'll fight, perhaps dance, and have a small prize for the most inventive Challenge. If it's wet, we'll sit under the shelter, drink hot mulled cider, and listen to the old-timers reminisce. Learn why Frederick of Holland led a protest march. Find out what the candle song means.
To get there, (directions omitted)
Autocrat: Dorothea of Caer-Myrddin (name/contact info).
