From The Page (October, 1993):
October 23 and 24 the Leif Erikson event will be held in a cooperative event with the Folsom Renaissance Festival. The fair on the same date has offered a free site if we will hold our small tournament inside their event (a fund raiser for their Library). Presented as a demo this is actually a standard S.C.A. prize tourney with a larger ratio of moderns watching, and the fair is providing the prize (probably a set of knightly spurs). On site camping is available but limited, entrants must call the autocrat to get on the gate list. The event within the fair will run in four episodes throughout the weekend, the finals will be the last event Sunday. Iseult nic Elam will be leading equestrian activities. A good time will be had by all.
